2017 ACFW Pre-Conference Mix & Mingle
It's that time of year again! The ACFW Conference is in just a few days, and I could not be more excited. I'm linking up with the amazingly talented Laurie Tomlinson and her pre-conference Mix & Mingle as a way to "meet" fellow writers before conference begins! If you're new to conference this year I highly encourage you to participate. I met some lovely authors last year because of it, and it was comforting being able to find a few familiar faces when I first arrived.
You can find Laurie's original post with the link-up here!
Name: Amanda Everett
Location: Blacksburg, VA
What you write/tagline/trademark: I write stories of grace, hope, and love in the contemporary romance genre
Place in the book world: I'm still relatively new to the writing world. I have one completed manuscript that I'll be pitching at conference, and I've started writing my 2nd!
On a scale of hugger to 10-foot-pole, please rate your personal space: I'm normally a bit reserved, but with this conference feeling like one big writing family--gimme all the hugs!
Something VERY serious: How do you take your Starbucks? I'm not a serious coffee drinker (i.e. I only like the fancy drinks), but I love a good almond-milk vanilla latte, chai tea, or caramel macchiato--preferably iced.
The unique talking points that will get you going for hours: College ministry, Virginia Tech, Anne of Green Gables (don't get me started on the new Netflix series!), all things southern, and Marvel movies (Team Cap all the way!)
Loved ones at home you’ll be missing: My stud of a husband, Jonathan.
Conference goals we can pray for? I’ll be pitching for the first time, so prayer for calm nerves and good connections would be greatly appreciated. Also, encouragement and direction in my writing journey.
Anything we can celebrate with you? I completed my first manuscript this past year!!
One or two ways we can help you build your platform? You can like my author page on Facebook and sign up for my email list at the very bottom of this post!
Thanks for hosting, Laurie!
